Well, we had out first church service on Tuesday night and it was an amazing blessing. We had no expectations and were so blessed by those who came. We started the evening with a prayer meeting and then our formal service began with worship and then the message. Mondo is teaching Galatians and I love his passion when it comes to God grace. there were friends from Murrieta, San Bernardino, Highland and Yucapia there and such a spirit of simplicity – no agendas, no awkward introductions. One friend of our brought two of her relatives who live in the neighborhood – already a chance to reach out!
We are already going to need childcare/Sunday school during the service, so I’m going to have to get out of my comfort zone and help out. All the moms will probably trade off until someone steps into that position, but I look forward to blessing the other moms my giving them the opportunity to sit and be fed. One family attending has two amazing daughters who are great with kids and my daughter will jump at any chance to play with little ones. I have never taught kids, other than my own, so we’ll see.
Please pray as we step into this amazing privilege and blessing. If you’d like to join us, we meet at:
937 26th St. in San Bernardino, off the 210 Highland Ave. exit
Tuesday night prayer meeting 6pm, service @ 7pm. I’ll let you all know when we start Sat. evenings.
